Two sections of the port sheer strake have been steamed into shape and temporarily fixed to the frames. Bolts, screws, clamps and wooden shelves have been used to hold the shape after the strakes had been steamed in a plastic tube on consecutive days. Permanent bolts and dumps will replace the temporary ones. The plain scarf is shaped ready for the next section to be joined to it. The strakes, scarfs and butt joints of each side of the hull will be a mirror image of each other. The lines on the frames are the exact position for the next strakes to fixed.
